Winter hours (January - March) are:

Tuesday - Saturday 11:00 am - 5:30 pm
Sunday and Monday - Closed

The Peter Lewis is open the 28th and the 29th of December and then we are closed until tuesday January the 3rd. We then go back to regular hours of 11-5:30pm. If you have any questions in the meantime please call J.J. the curator on her cell at 725-4632 and leave a message. It will be returned shortly after. Peter Lewis has been getting to know his Island intimately with plein-air paintings from some of Newfoundland's most scenic views. Trinity, Brigus, Harbour Main, Conche, Dildo, Ferryland, White Bay and Cape St. Francis are just some of the beautiful places that Peter has committed to canvas in his oil painting style defined by it's movement and spectacular colour palette. Please join us for the opening next weekend on Saturday Nov. 26th from 2-5 pm.

Exploring the difference one splash of colour can make on the promise of a new canvas is pure joy for the artist that loves their work. Fall brings the promise of hues of red that inspire our landscape painters and fire up our still-life artists. New and exciting works by Sarah Jane Conklin, Michael Kilburn, Terri Leonard, Julie Duff and JJ Allwood will inspire and delight the senses.
